Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya University
Dr. Shinichiro Nakamura is an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Nagoya University, Japan. His specialties are hydrology, water resources management, and land-infrastructure design. He has conducted research on (1) sustainable basin management in urban areas, (2) evaluation of climate change impacts and adaptations in developing countries, and (3) analysis of socio-hydrological processes in the Asian monsoon region. He has been involved in a number of water-related research projects in Asian countries and civic participatory projects for urban river restoration. He received his PhD in engineering from the University of Tokyo in 2014.
