Senior Fellow Fukushima Contributes Article to Strategic Analysis

A research article on “Reshaping the United Nations with the Concept of Human Security” by Senior Fellow Akiko Fukushima has been published in the latest issue of the journal Strategic Analysis (Volume 44, Issue 5) highlighting the challenges faced by the international organization, which is commemorating its seventy-fifth anniversary this year.

The article declares that the “days of debate on definitions of human security are over” and that it is time to move on to “Human Security Version 2.0” by acknowledging the “connectivity of threats and operationalizing the concept” in reforming the United Nations, including through the establishment of a Global Human Security Council.
